If you are an American citizen traveling from the U.S. to the Bahamas or Mexico on a closed-loop cruise, starting and ending at the same U.S. port, a state-issued ID and an original U.S. birth certificate is sufficient. It is the responsibility of each guest to identify and obtain all required travel documents and have them available at the pier when necessary.
